Childrens Parade

On Saturday 5th May West Blatchington is taking part in annual Children's Parade, to kick off the much anticipated Brighton Festival.  The theme this year is 'Paintings' and our chosen artist is Jackson Pollack.

Jackson  Pollack was an American painter and a major figure in the abstract expressionist  movement, who was well known for his unique style of drip painting.  We have had fantastic fun making props and painting t-shirts and getting to experiment with paint dripping and flicking!

The Children's parade is always a fantastic event for all the family and with the weather forecast predicting a warm and sunny Spring day, we would love for you to come and cheer us along the parade route on Saturday!

We are school number 38 and the parade starts from Pelham Square at 10:30 and makes its way to Madeira Drive.

Any parents and children walking with the school for the parade will need to be at Pelham Square for 10:00.  Remember to wear comfy shoes and bring sun cream and sunglasses/hats to provide protection from the sun!
